Horea Pascu

Horea Pascu is the founder of Blue Island Music, one of the leading production music sub-publishing companies in Romania. The company represents a curated selection of 290 top-tier production music labels, totaling over 500,000 unique tracks, and is a trusted partner for major international catalogues, including BMG Production Music, Megatrax, MYMA, No Sheet Music, Superpitch, 9 Lives Music, Intervox, and many more. Each year, Blue Island Music supervises music placements in hundreds of advertising projects as well as providing scores for countless TV shows and feature films.

With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, Horea began his career as a composer before transitioning into music publishing. Since 2018, he's an elected board member of the International Production Music Group (IPMG), a global trade organization dedicated to protecting the economic and creative interests of production music publishers.

A graduate of the National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC), Horea combines his expertise in music with a strong background in audiovisual production. He is also a member of Romanian Business Leaders (RBL), a non-profit organization that fosters social action and entrepreneurial involvement in Romania’s private sector.

Horea is not only passionate about music, but also about the quite complex music publishing global ecosystem and he’s happy to share his knowledge with musicians and other people in the music business.
