Behind the Film Score: Composers in Conversation
The first session brings to the stage:
Kangding Ray, winner of the Grand Prize at Cannes for his Sirat score, in dialogue with Marius Leftărache, specialist in sound design and film music, moderated by Adina Popescu, co-founder Sync About It.
A Sync About It event in partnership with Control and supported by Transilvania Film.
Kangding Ray
David Letellier, known as Kangding Ray, is a musician, producer, and DJ whose work merges experimentalism and club music.

Over nearly two decades, he has forged a singular path across the boundaries of techno, ambient, and avant-garde sound, evolving from the delicate minimalism of his early releases to his distinctive blend of hypnotic textures and futuristic rhythms.
A regular presence on international stages, Kangding Ray also expands his sonic
explorations beyond the dance floor - from museum installations to award-winning
film scores.
Marius Leftărache
Began his career in sound through various electronic music projects as Kosak, most notably “Gojira & Kosak”.

For the past 20 years however, he’s been working mainly in Sound Design/Editing and film-scoring. With more than 100 films under his belt and multiple awards - including Best Music at Gopo Awards for scoring the original sountrack of “Boss” and Best original score award "Adrian Enescu" for "Men of Deeds", he's currently branching out into art installations based around sound.
