Iulia Pop

Head of Communication, MMB Conference & Showcase Festival | Head of Communication, Women in Music Romania

Iulia Pop has been active in the Romanian music industry for over 15 years, juggling roles in event organization, music marketing, booking and communication. She is the co-founder of Overground Music, a leading booking, management, communication and music marketing agency that represents multiple artists from the Romanian alternative scene, as well as some of its most promising up-and-coming acts.

Passionate about creating unique experiences for artists and audiences alike, together with the Overground team she launched Rooftop Season, a unique concert series hosted on the outdoor amphitheater of the National Theatre, bringing music to one of Bucharest’s most scenic spots and  showcasing a diverse selection of Romanian artists.

Throughout her career, she has designed and executed strategic communication plans, album and single release campaigns, promotional efforts for concerts and national tours. Her portfolio includes collaborations with byron, The Mono Jacks, Robin and the Backstabbers, Grimus, Toulouse Lautrec, EMIL, Dimitri’s Bats, and Lucia, among others.

In addition to her work at Overground Music, Iulia is a co-founder of the Romanian Artists Worldwide Association, the organization behind Mastering the Music Business (MMB)-  the leading music business conference in Eastern Europe, where she handles communication.  She’s deeply involved in supporting women in the music industry as the Head of Communication for Women in Music Romania and has contributed as a mentor in the Women in Music Mentorship Program, supporting and guiding the next generation of female professionals in the music business.
